Is TVS 3.0 much better than stage 2?!

We barely broke it on Ross' TVS car (2.9 w/basic mods, on pump 93 no meth)but I am not a great LSJ tuner lol. With some more time with it I feel we could squeak a lil more out, nothing crazy tho! Car is a lot of fun, just seems to pull forever

real simple to 11.0 afr 16* timing
i would love to know what the tvs can do in a few years.
the m62 grew up nice, a few years back 250whp with one was unheard of, now 280 seems to be a norm with a good amount of mods
tvs started at 300whp as a "limit" now it seems 400 is attainable with some good supporting mods and 450 is the next big goal

TVS is definitely a great application to run. Here's some quick info:
-------------------------------
This is a great starting point to upgrade to the TVS supercharger:
1. OTT Stage 3 kit w/ H/E
2. Cold Air Intake
3. Header/ Downpipe
4. 2.5" or 3" exhaust (3" will yield more power)
That's like the base setup just start you off. With just that you're looking at around 300 WHP. If you really are looking for an extremely solid daily driver/performance car and you're not too worried about spending a little money on your car, I would say a great setup would be:
1. OTT Stage 3 Kit w/ H/E
2. Cold Air intake
3. Header/Downpipe
4. 2.5" or 3" Exhaust
5. Dual Pass Endplate
6. Option B Kit
7. Suspension upgrade (SS/TC Struts/Shocks + Pedders Springs = WIN)
8. OTT Rotated Trans Mounts or TTR STOP Mounts
9. Stronger clutch
9. Short Throw Shifter (TWM ftw)
10. Wideband O2 Gauge and Interceptor Gauge (great for monitoring)
Tip: If you're planning on running a 3.0" pulley or smaller (e.g 2.8" or 2.7") . I recommend running a meth kit.
If you do choose to run meth or E85 (E85 is not readily available for most so meth would be a great alternative) AND you choose to drop pulley sizes then you should be looking at solid mid-300's WHP and still be getting great mpg. That setup is just an idea to work with; there's still more you can get but what I listed will provide you a very clean setup with great drivability. If you have more questions there are some great forums that explain more of this in further detail.
*As far as the options for the OTT Stage 3 kit goes:
Yes for the OTT H/E
GM Stage 2 Belt
Your choice on Pulley (3.0" lowest to be ran WITHOUT meth; If running meth a 2.8" would be great but virtually it's up to you)
Rev Limiter: 7200
Torque Management: Removed
NGK 1 Step Colder
--------------------------------
On top of that it would be wise to get a custom tune to get the most gains out of the TVS, and you should be pretty happy with the setup.

i dont want to run meth i have a 3.1 i was looking at the Harrop boost controller you drop a smaller pulley and you can adjust it real time from inside the car. They say its great for when its hot out or you have your friend driving the car etc. this all works by magic from inside the blower itself and the controller was pretty cheap under 200 i think
It is 3 in the ******* morning and I'm reading this thread to see how it is progressing. Oh my... the utter fail of this RossShadey tard. Seriously, you don't know 2 things about what you are doing, which should at least be
1) righty tighty
2) lefty loosey
So I have no idea how you are going to pull this off. You fail. Hard. Are you sure you don't want some meth? Not the cooling mod..
And a coke

I like the tuna here.
You'd be better off just following the guide I posted earlier. If you don't plan on running meth then just don't drop below a 3.0". Read the post. Pretty much sums up the basics; can't get much easier than that lol.
