On the Garret turbo kits what is the wastegate minimum set at? and what would be a safe psi to run on stock internals on a 2.2?

 

i believe its set to 8psi, the 2.2 garrett kit that is, u can raise it with a boost controller, and u can run w/e psi u can w/out causing knock, heat is the main consern with higher compression, the more psi u run the hotter it is from the compression process, thus the more u can cool it, the more u can throw at it w/out causin knock, as for the engine itself it can handle what GM states is 250chp, although some cobalts are running aroun with 240whp with no issues

bhp base prw, chp crank, same ****, that would equate to ~220whp, raise the boost on the garret kit to ~12psi, tune for the extra boost, and ur set
