What size turbo

Hey i have an 07 SS/SC and i am looking to build a custom turbo kit. I have been searching around for a little and couldn't really find a good size turbo for the car. I was wondering what you guys would recommend? What size turbo and trim? thanks

"i want to build a custom turbo kit but i don't know anything about turbo's" is what this should have said.

What turbo should I buy? The smallest one that meets your power goals. This is an answer in it's simplest form

Yeah me too. The 35r has too much lag for my taste, but OP wants to hit 500. I'm not sure if a 30r could meet his end goals. 400 is plenty IMO, perfect for a 30r.

i have the gt3582 and it starts to spool at ~4500rpm in low gear. i think the block will need to be sleeved to support 500hp. i would shoot for 400 crank horsepower for a nice reliable dd.

My bad. It was an assumption.

But then again an evo's not a lsj.

the 76 is more than capable of putting down 500 whp. But this guy doesn't know what he's getting into to see those kind of numbers. You could always do a precision 62/62 if the budget is capable. I love those turbos

Heck if the dsm guys can push 500 awhp out of a tiny little evo 16g it can be done on the 3076. Just sayin
