What Turbo!?

So initially I bought a Turbonetics 60-1 hifi but decided to lean my build towards more track days(road course) and a bit more streetable with a quicker spool time. I'm aiming for 400WHP with stock internals. There's alot of hype witht he S256 extended tip around here right now and the GT30 series turbo's are ofcourse very popular. SO my question is What turbo should I go with? assume that price doesn't matter, which ofcourse it does lol

If price doesn't matter the Bullseye S256.

From everything I have read about it, it is top of the line.

I have it.

s252 with an extended tip if price doesnt matter. the s256 is more of a straightline turbo if you ask me....same with the 258. also the 3076r would be a nice turbo that will max out a little over 500 if you push it. personally if it were me and i was trying to save a bit of money yet still have an awesome setup i would do the gt3076r

I want a quick spooling turbo that wont run out of breath uptop if I change my mind a bit down the road and go for higher power. like early 3k rpm spool would be nice or sooner if possible

GT3071r would be a good choice. Best turbo for spool purposes that you speak of is probably a GT2876r. Should be able to keep power till red line. Should just hit 400 whp too.

it's the truth^

the GT3076R will deffinitely net you some top end HP, but has a bit of lag in the lower RPMs.

is this for an SS/SC? or TC?

an SS/SC wouldnt even see top results of the 3076 without a built motor. it would be a waste of a turbo and performance in the lower RPMs.

Its for an LSJ that will be built in the future probably just ported head sleeves pistons and valvesprings though. why would it be a waste on the LSJ ?

alot of lag on the bottom end, and an un-built engine wouldnt put that turbo near it's full potential. a smaller turbo would do much better.
