but it WILL crap on cars that are in its price range.....sadly, not every can afford a 1.4 million dollar car....Everytime someone makes a thread about a good motor, someone has to go and reference the gawd damn Veyron. Yea, its a nice car, but this engine is more realistic than a veyron. damn car is about 39000/mo if you finance it. WTF. Now if we were referring to a fararri Enzo, then sure, say the veyron will smoke it without the second key needed to give it the rest of its horsepower but when talking about a American built engine,and gm not making engines bigger the V8's, try to keep it to cars that are relative and close to its class.

did anyone ever tell you how long the 1400hp ecotecs last? they make a few passes down the strip and need to be rebuilt..
This 600+hp has a 100k mile warranty!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have links of proof for standing start z06. Last i heard there is no standing start for cars on that track
I heard a rumor the car jan magnusson or w/e his name was that set the old record in his z06 was actually lightened a few hundred lbs from stock. BUt I cant find the damned link now

The GTR will definately be out powered and out handled by the ZR1.. Even the ZO6 will beat it or equal it in nearly everything exept the launch.. awd does have its benefits
Either way, we'll just have to wait untill these actually make it to the drag strip, because imports usually have a tendency to overestimate... (kinda funny most had to drop HP ratings when the new SAE specs came out... yet anything GM stayed the same)

Id hope the zr1 beats a gtr...its a 69k car vs a car you prob wont be able to touch for under 100k for a year or 2...stick to apples to apples with gtr vs z06. Stock vs stock gtr is faster then the z06 round nurburgring. 1/4 mile no body knows yet...stock z06 records on STOCK tires is like what an 11.2? Wait till its released and/or we get a credible source for 1/4 time and mph
GTR>Z06 in every subjective way.

you will be at the dealer getting a new trans every week. Good thing the trans is in the back! If it was normal, not even a ford 9inch would last! and did you see that serpintine belt, good luck changing that!
