No comments on how you got the car just on how you raised this thread from the dead.

It's not just for young people. I wanted one the first time I saw it. I had to wait one year to pay the wife's car off first. When that was paid off I still wanted it bad. Nothing could talk me out of one. I love mine.

I have a dream of owning a F/I car. When I bought my car there were no supercharged cars available at my dealer, and I wasn't aware they could find one for me. Now I plan to get the SS/TC next October after i have had my car for 2 years.

Clarify something for me...... isn't the newest version now turbo rather than supercharged? And if so, why did they revert back to turbo?

Yes the 08 is turbo, they never reverted "back". '05, '06, and '07 were supercharged but it was cancelled for '08 because of an expired contract and emissions. So GM turned the LNF sideways and called it the new SS.

Nice article! I actually thought about buying the last Eclipse GSX's w/ the AWD and turbocharged 2.0L DOHC but it never happened, and the 2000-up Eclipse was a POS. Some of my HS buddies had new 97-99 Eclipses and those were sweet cars. The styling would look at-home with today's designs.
