gettin 26-30 mpg on my lil beast! (some WOT) around 300 miles to every fill

MP81 03-04-2009 10:16 PM

I think mines sitting at around 26 right now.

It was about 23-25 this winter (very cold), but in the summer I usually get 30-33 (math calculated).

I take off around 2.5k-3k RPM, and I do get on it sometimes. I have a hill to climb when I turn out of work, and then another one after I turn at the light. So depending on traffic, I sometimes wind it up to 4, sometimes even go WOT.

ace921000 03-06-2009 05:42 PM

22.7 mpg in a 2.4. i drive pretty much all city with some highway every now and then

Black SS/SC 06 03-06-2009 05:43 PM

Usually 25-30 mpg

DC02 04-10-2009 06:30 PM

my normal punk kid driving habits, in city, getting about 300-320 per tank with a 2.2 auto.

Highway, cross country, with the car loaded down pulling 390-400 miles per tank

If I baby it, in city probably worth another 30 miles on the first number so 330-350 per tank. dont know what it can do unloaded on a long highway trip. Probably close to the 400 number. thats still being slightly hard on it, no cruise control either.

All in all happy with it, basically hangs between 25-30 mpg

wantedSS/TC 04-23-2009 03:29 PM

Yeah, for the "life" of my car, so far I'm averaging 25.5 mpg (the car only has 900 miles on it though).

gre23a 04-29-2009 10:20 AM

i made it from houston to san antonio on one tank when i went to see nine inch nails. i dont remember the exact numbers tho but at an average of 65mph i got close to 32mpg, i am getting about 26mpg all city driving with a heavy foot.

wantedSS/TC 04-29-2009 10:28 AM

Now i'm down to 25.2 after the meet ... too much boost, but I LOOOVE boost :)

Blue_Balt 04-30-2009 10:48 AM

WOT in an XFE? Doesn't it defeat the purpose to get an XFE if your WOT every chance you get?

You should have bought a used LSJ or LNF!

I don't know what Wicked did, but it worked!!!

Deathscythe 06-08-2009 12:20 AM

I see 31 in the city, and between 37 and 42 highway, depending on my cruising speed. I see 37.8 driving at 80 mph. BennyHHR did my tuning for me.

chevymanva 06-17-2009 06:39 PM

My Dic says 27.3 at the moment i usually fill up with an 1/8th tank left and thats usually with 260 to 280 miles of drivin and the miles to empty is usually between 70 and 100 miles left.

ForsakenOutlaw57 07-29-2009 11:13 AM

I average in the mid to high 20s but all of my driving is highway and its 5 miles to and 5 miles from work. I peaked 36.4 mpg though on a trip down the LIE out to Nesconset. Avg speed was 52 mph for the trip but I was easily booking 75/80 for a large portion of the trip, windows down, no cruise control, locked into fifth gear just cruising.

nhanson 08-21-2009 09:00 PM

2.2 LAP

HB_SS/TC 08-21-2009 09:03 PM

Woohoo when I calculated the mileage today I got 17 mpg!

06'Yellow SS/SC 09-08-2009 07:25 PM

i dont get how people are getting 38+ with the LSJ i get like 24 in the city if i'm lucky and as high as 35 on the freeway. i have no tune, stock with an intake and flowmaster on it now.

slowstang 09-09-2009 01:18 AM

2.0 lnf Cobalt

On an uphill 340 mile trip to upstate NY this weekend I managed 30.1mpg while doing 70mph. I'd say 90% of it was highway.

Going back home and doing 80mph for most of the way while hitting some traffic....28.9mpg

*edit* this is not my normal average. My daily commute is a mix of highway and stop and go...24-25mpg
