I'm with this guy ^.

Good on the OP for trying something new. What is so bad about with him experimenting with something that interests him? This IS the hypermiling forum after all, why are the people who don't care about mileage in here ragging on him.

this is actually not too bad of an idea, I seen the elise's underbody in person and it's pretty, this is an interesting project not for the mileage but the performance side of it, this is the best pic I could find without looking too much, it's crazy remove one wheel and the car falls off, lol

Like I was saying, these mods improve the performance, also. Imagine showing up to the drag strip with wheel skirts on, and having a faster time than more powerful ions/cobalts.

The car is more than likely ever so slightly faster. Very small gains though. The gains come in the form of efficiency.

Just like the HP vs TQ thing you got into.

Word to the guy above me. If it has less air resistance it will be faster. Who knows the gains, but thats the reality of it.
