Using the F35 from the 08-10 SS with LSJ

From my understanding these are basically the same tranny but the 08-10 has a 3.82 or something ratio and the 05-07 is a 4.05? so less revs more speed with the LNF tranny?

wouldnt this deliver slightly better fuel mileage having better gearing

usdm08 here on the forums swapped an lnf tranny to his 07 lsj and saw some improvement in mpg he says. hope this helps. not sure about performance, but am pretty sure it delivers same if not better performace...

you're right. Slightly taller final drive, better MPG.

May have internal upgrades for the NLS, not sure on that though.

You can just change out the final drive from the LSJ to the LNF FD. ZZP changed from the LNF to the LSJ on Matt's car to help reduce stress on the gear set.

check out the link and try changing the rpm limits on both engines... the lsj with 7400 rpm limit(perfectly safe stock) does almost the same speed in each gear as the lnf at 7k on its tranny
