My DIC is usually 2-3 MPG higher than it actually is.

Nice...I've been averaging 26.2 on my last two tanks, with the DIC reading 0.5 to 1.0 mpg high. Still only off about ~3%, but based on your average speeds, it looks you you're more on the highway quite a bit. Mine varies between both, with my average speed sitting at a mere 27 mph.

On my old ss/sc, I took a trip to Tucson and back, and when I filled it, the DIC was spot on what my actual mileage was, but most times it was a little optimistic as well.

Yea, there are some phantom miles on there (operator reset button error), but the overall average comes from the total mileage to how much fuel I've put in.

My DIC has always been off by about 2 - 5% (1 to 2 MPG).

Wow... I thought I was the only person on this site to do something as geeky as this. I haven't done this, but I swear, this looks like something I would do.
