Welcome Garrett Turbos!
Hi, thank you for the warm welcome!
Even though the Garrett Cobalt isn't as trick as some of yours' on the site, I hope to be able to share some of what we've done with our 2.2L Ecotec as well as our work with some of the Cobalt racers out there including Marty Ladwig, Bryan Jiminez and Erica Nocita.
To g5mike, I'm not sure that I understand the question entirely. The gains made by the Garrett Cobalt Alpha Kit have resulted in less horsepower than the Hahn Turbo Kit, but they are for different engines. The 198 HP that the Garrett Alpha Kit produces is on a 2.2L Ecotec whereas the Hahn Turbo Kit is putting down 241 HP on a 2.4L. The Hahn Kit is based off of the Garrett GT Tuner Kit. Running through the math of percentage of power gains versus stock horsepower at the wheels (estimated based on HP numbers found at www.chevrolet.com; 148 and 177 respectively and subtracting 25% for drivetrain loss), both kits result in approximately 155% of the stock HP at 8 psi. I hope that this helps to alleviate any confusion.

We look forward to being a member of the community and hope to see more and more Garrett turbocharged Cobalts out there!

The Garrett tuner kit can be used on an LSJ. You would need an intake manifold from either a L61 or LE5, or use a custom TB mount for the existing manifold, which I believe I have seen on here by one of our other vendors once already. And then you could tune it with HPT.

I'd like to Welcome you Garrett as well.
i did allot of e-mailimg with a few of your distributors and such when planing out my kit.
i must say your GT3076R is an awesome piece.
so far i'm vary happy with its results, even tho the cars been running for about a week now and the tune is barely completed. watching the boost gauge spike once it hits is a thing of BEAUTY!
quick question for you guys tho, could you please compare spool rates and RPM for two different housings?
if a T4-.58AR with your stage 3 turbine wheel spool at 4500
what that same turbo spool at if i went down to a T3-.63AR
both with a 3in V-band output?
Thanks!
