$2300 for that? wow, AWESOME. bank that check!!

I got (4) 18x8 rims w/ 20 locking lugnuts and (4) 235/40/18 max perf. summer tires for $1100, you do the same and you can get aftermarket rims AND tires, AND still have $1200 in the bank! Mount and balance is $15 a tire no biggie...

Bummer on the rim stealage, Bonuuuuuus on the extra cash

did you check to see if your sideskirt was scratch because the pinch weld that those blocks are sitting on is recessed above the sideskirt by quite a bit.

Tire disposal???? But you DONT HAVE TIRES to Dispose,
They should not charge you that 3 bux. Ok I know its like
only 3 bux, but still its hte principal that they are riping you
off 3 dollors, for a service they are not giving you.

SUcks that that happened man
At least they left it on blocks for you.
My cusion had that happen to his car once
and they didnt leave it on blocks, jsut framed to the ground.
Insurance Totaled it out.

Take the insurance check and buy a set off here... have them powdercoated instead of painted...

Then take the left over money and buy an alarm with a Digital Level Sensor. My alarm went off twice when I lived in my apartment... the kids lowered the car so fast and took off running, with my car being lowered I got a free hydrolic jack out of the deal.

Tire disposal fees are usually charged by the state. They're really not optional.

I went to Firestone and they asked if I wanted to get rid of my tires and pay the fee or keep them... I paid the fee.

Its not theft, its a government cashgrab which is definitely legal. Also, most states? What state is theft legal??

I'm pretty sure the State isn't going to charge itself with theft.

The surcharge is usually tacked on by the state itself, regardless of whether or not you're actually disposing tires when you get them mounted. It's a state tax that is collected when buying new tires, regardless of whether or not you're putting them on a bare rim.

i think you have to pay the fee for when you finally end up getting rid of the tires, its like how you have to pay an environmental levy on things like milk jugs, but its kind of dumb seeing as places probably charge you to dispose of them, even though you paid a disposal fee up front

He's not disposing any tires though. He's just getting 2 new wheels and tires.

Then they should just call it "TAX" instead of Tire disposal fee,
SO now the state is not only steeling from its members,
but is extorting them and lying to them as well?

I would expect no less from the government.
