Im going to buy an 03 mach 1 mustang v8 5 speed. it has Bassani stainless steel exhaust , high flow cats, x pipe ,K&N cold air intake and some type of throttle spacer i believe. It has also been tunned by a place specializing in mustangs i guess. Whats my chances on cobalt ss/sc stock/modified. cobalt ss/tc stock and modified. from rolls or dig. give me a idea on it. i believe its like 13.6 stock 1/4 mile on the mach 1 but not sure.

I race my buddies all the time, from a dig he gets me, but my clutch sucks. he gets me by a car.
from a 40 i put about 1.5 cars on him. I have a 2.8 ported head, header and 3in exhaust and dp.

i hear mach 1's arent that fast in rolls compared to a tuned ss/tc. in the 1/4 mile yeah.. its rwd.

right i just sold my 06 ss/sc 2.0 with ottp stage 2 60# injectors 2.8, CAI and exhaust. Just wondering how much faster or slower i would be against that. the cobalt felt a little faster but it was probably mostly in my head cuz of the supercharger screaming. I think with some 4.10s and a underdrive pulley on top of everything on the mach 1 i should be able to break into 12s and tear 90% of cobalts apart.

I know a guy from another forum that had one that put down 307.6 RWHP, 332.7 RWTQ just just a dyno tune and ran 12.9 at 107.7 1/4 and 8.3 at 84.8 1/8

^^^gears do alot for any car in the 1/4, but of course it changes things on the highway, but then again people say roll racing isn't racing.....i think it levels the playing field.
I think ive been told mach's have something like 3.43 rear gears, I could be wrong though

btw my car only put own 245.
gearing plays a large role in highway races, we have pretty long gears after 1st haha
