meaning g85 package will be able to be ordered. if you read a few other threads gm had stoped producing the g85 package to new orders, only if you ordered it a few mnths back then you could have the g85 package but then they stoped for a month or so. now they brought it back for the 06 models.

Just remember guys if you cancel your orders the 06's dont roll out until July 18th. That is the day that GM workers go back after model change. More Wait Time! If you had one on order i would wait for it to come in and see if you need the LSD, unless you do a lot of drag racing or autocrossing then you probably wont see a difference. I had three 3rd gen camaros 2 without LSD and one with and truthfully the only difference that i saw was the one with LSD would put down 2 blackmarks instead of 1

Yes, my father works for GM and they are down for the first 2 weeks in July and there are not new cars being built during the 2 weeks of model change. They have to go in and change any stamping machines and fix anything that will be new for the 06 model. There will only be maintence men their no assembly line workers!

id sya if you have an 05 witht he lsd stick it out unless u dont mind wiating till end of july begin of Aug for it and by then most the summer is gone :S unless u live smwere that u dont get winter and cold weatehr then its your call

If you want the G85 and your 05 order has not gone past 1100 then it is the only way to go.

Sorry to be annoying but what is the G85 package and what does it do ? y it better and how do u no if you got it i got mine last week but it was at the dealer for a few weeks?

G85 is the package w/ recaro seats and LSD

Thanks my salesman finally fessed up today that the 05' isnt coming... I also informed him on whats going on with the 06' and becuase I knew so much and he didnt i'm going to get a better deal, just becuase I helped him out.

It's almost June. I think its best to wait for 06, but that might be till August.
