08 2.4 cobalt

so im looken at a 08 LT cobalt that they basically made into a sport has everything the sport does: the 2.4/rims/seats/onstar/sunroof/6 disc cd/premium sound/remote start/deck lid spoiler/ect basically fully loaded...supposably its a special or sumthin idk its labled as an LT RS, i guess meaning ralley stripes? cause it gots black racing stripes(red car) looks hot lol, ne way my payments are looken at either $395 month for 60 months or $339 a month for 78 months supposably i qualified for 0% APR on the 60 months cause my excellent credit but 6. somethin on 78 months...the car is $21,500... i can choose 0$ APR up to 60 months or $2k off at 78 month.....ne way what u guys think? i cant really offord $395 a month so i think im goin for the $339 a month which ill prolly put $2,000 down to get it close to $300 a month....that sound about right for an 08 sport?, cause thats basically what it is, or they charging me alot more cause of the stripes

dont do it....youll end up changing all that anyways...and that is WAY TOO much for that car!!!!

and it says 2.4 in the thread...if it has a 2.4 engine in it...then it is a sport

if you cant afford 395. but can afford 335, then thats effed imo. You need to leave yourself breathing room. Any if you go 72 months you'll be paying more becuase you get interest rate. Save up and put a down payment on then go with 60 month.

like i stated be 4 it may be labled LT RS but its basically a sport its fully loaded and after the 2000$ cash back this month on cobolts im gettin the car for $19,500 before tax title and all but i also thought that was kinda high, from what im seeing its around 18-19k for a 08 sport looks liks they threw an extra $1000 on for the stripes lol...that i can prolly get for 300-500$ tops lol

if it doesn't have the 2.4L engine it is not a sport model.

Its probably one of those dealership vehicles where they throw on all the accessories and tack up the price. i wouldn't do it. Unless they will drop to about $18K out the door it should be a no-go IMO.

i just searched chevy and i searched kelly blue book...and nothing about htis model you are talking about

mmm

2.2L "L61" engine= LS/LT/ LTWTF

2.4L "LE5" engine= SS/SPORT

2.0L "LSJ/LNF" engine = SS supercharged/SS Turbocharged

simple as that, chevy has not droped the 2.4 into a LT/LS your simple buying a LT that is fully loaded with a dealer package, unless you pop the hood and see that it has a 2.4 then that means the dealer slapped a ******* badge on it. simple as that.

A dealership is NOT going to do an engine swap on a Cobalt LT........end of story. Either they're misadvertising or it actually is a Sport model with RS stripes.

PLease dont take the dealer bait. Buy a real sport.

Check carsdirect.com. Looks like you can build an 08 Sport for 18k after rebates.
