I'm dreading my 100K... my 100,000KM. Lol. I have to admit that the only problem with my car was from the previous owner smashing on it constantly and killing the tires and clutch. Other than that the car has been peachy to me. I cause all the problems it is going through. Otherwise I have to say that the Ecotec is a really reliable platform and I recommend it to many people looking to purchase a car.
That was a nice read, I like your hood.

Most of these guys dont even know what "CA" is...lol
Dude...beibg around for a lot of the things you posted up at the time....brings back lots of memories. You some of the most if not the most heart put into your ride. Most would have just sold it and moved on.
Longevity...you stuck with it. And gave it what you had. Respect man. Your car is so underappreciated! Gorgeous...every piece and part of it.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words, means alot. to answer a few questions I ran over real quick
I was at Orange County Choppers/PJD this past fall for the car show at PJD pictured above. We took a drive over to OCC after I had been judged. Great time. Im looking to go again this spring when the date is announced. Great time. Met some great people too.
Sythe - really appreciate the words bud! Really appreciate it from you as you are a fellow OG, and one of the pushers of our platform, your car is an absolute monster.

sorry a few more. shrouds are mini gatlings
i will be up in white plains NY the beginning weekend of april, will be in the mrs scion though ( another project just as heavy as the balt ) as she doesnt trust the car for long distances. Dont ask me why. I wanted to take it to Canada to see John Powell this past fall, we took her Scion instead. Figured, while we were up there visiting John I must have seen a dozen balts, no lie. All SS/SC's. Also her cousins are from Poughkeepsie. Probably a few years older than you though. Mike and Anthony Shallo.

One night me and my buddy met up with a mutual friend who came back from afghanistan. She had been out there 6 months, and had a boat load of money she came home with. She said I wanna take you both out for drinks. Said ok, started drinking more and more and more, went to the casino, drank ALOT more. came out, we all had a good buzz going on. were probably well over the legal limit, but all handling ourselves well. My buddy who was 6' 400 at the time mind you, she goes I want to blow you. Im like well well well. I said Mike get in the back. Hes like dude no way im fitting in the back. Im like MIKE get in the BACK. hes like dude not happening. I said it again and motioned with my hand MIKE GET IN THE BACK. hes like wtf.... sigh....ok. STUFFS himself into the back, she doesnt even wait for me to start the car. Shes going to town making all sorts of slerpy sucky noises. Im trying to take off in 4th gear, 5th gear, reverse, who knows. Car was stalling, wasnt using the clutch to shift, was stopped at green lights. It was bad. Cars honking lol. So after about 5 minutes of this she goes I wanna ****. Im like SCREEEECH. Mike your driving. we hop out, start stripping on the side of the road, throwing clothes on passenger floor. He hops in. Hes like where we off to boss? I said I DONT CARE JUST DONT GET US PULLED OVER. He started driving all over, and I took her to pound town in the back seat. That was probably 07ish. We still talk about it to this day.

Very nice revieiw! Most of the issues you have had seem to be common among cobalts(and other cars) Can't see your pics, not sure if its my phone... which is likely. But don't really need too. Kinda know your car anyway. Glad to hear you're not done with it, I have a soft spot for all of them. Gonna keep mine till it dies, or I just get sick of fixing it. Which hasn't been an issue yet, at 70k ish the only non self inflicted problem I've had was the thermostat. Anyway, I wish you the best of luck, and hope your car keeps up with you!

Thank you guys. Really appreciate it again, everyone complains about this site and this and that, but I did learn ALOT of stuff on here. ALOT. Bein an OG too ive seen alot of great builds come and go, some start with alot of potential and are either sold or wrecked as well.
Alot of people dont know either, this car was delivered wednesday and backed into with a backhoe on friday. 2 days old. Talk about getting your first knick out of the way. I close enough to see it, but too far away to be heard. Got backed into with a backhoe bucket. Car was pushed a good 8 feet sideways before it stopped. All that happened was a whole in the rear bumper cover since it was hit at such a low speed.
