I personally like the IRL wheels. IMO the smaller the rim the better, i know 16's would give more grip at the track, but then id have to buy new tires. you won't see me going to 18's.

but no, there won't be any real issues

Thanks everyone.

I wanted to keep the chevrolet rims, i like the look of them, and there are not any aftermarket rims for the cobalt that are my style so i decided to keep the same style just go an inch bigger.

I currently have the 18 inch sc gunmetals on a black n/a coupe, they look really sharp.

Thanks for the tip.

All alloy rims will chip depending on, like you stated, unless you take good care of them, i got my 2.4 used and some rims were chipped, they were the 17's, the 18's i bought are from an 05, they are pretty much mint, faces are nice, edges are clean, except for one that does show some chipping on the edge, and some rash, but its not to the point where its bad enough to look at even still.

True but there was a serious problem with the 05-06 gunmetals on some LSJ cars where the paint was chipping, to the point that some people got their wheels replaced under warranty. You're surely not going to get wheels replaced under warranty if they're chipped from just a lack of maintenance.

Dude, do you know how much street cred and extra inch on your whip's wheels gets you these days, son?

I love my 17 inch N/A rims... I was thinking about aftermarket rims, but decided I legitimately like the stock Broad spoke chrome rims most...
