2.0 S/C Body Style #'s
2.0 S/C Body Style #'s
I was bored on my day off so I stopped at my dealer out of curiousity on what it would cost to get the S/C front and back peices on my 2.4. Once I saw the price I decided not too though, lol.
First off, everyone on here has said that you need to place the entire back bumper for that back peice, but the front lip is a bolt on. I was told that I would not need a new bumper and the back would fit. I don't know if that is for the 2.4 only or the 2.2 as well, I did not ask that. Here are the list of parts they said they would need to order from GM:
FRONT BUMPER
15773839 – Lower Deflector - $150.00
10363386 – RT Lower Bracket - $13.44
10363387 – LT Lower Bracket - $13.44
9423101 – RT Lower Bracket Nut (x7) - $28.84
9423101 – LT Lower Bracket Nut (x7) - $28.84
REAR BUMPER
12336082 – Lower Extn SS - $160.00
89025744 – RT Lower Grille SS - $35.59
89025745 – LT Lower Grille SS - $35.59
22688427 – Fasteners (x14) - $59.50
TRUNK LID
89046112 – Spoiler - $367.20
All those parts are unpainted of course. If you put those numbers in at GMPartsDirect.com, you can get them for up to 50% off. So if you do plan on doing this, I would order them yourself. The man also said that the S/C spoiler uses different hole pattern on the trunk than the 2.4 spoiler. I know for a fact that they do use the same pattern, I remember someone on here saying they did it themselves and it was the same. They gave me a complete esitmate with install, paint, clear coat, and the works at $1,800.00. So for those of you that want this, that is what your looking at. I have a lump some of money coming at the end of this month, I am actually temped but I would feel bad spending that much money for just a front and back peice.

You can order the spoiler already painted at http://www.crateenginedepot.com $465.95.
I think the numbers for the side moldings are 89044639/89044640. I am not 100% though, im trying to look at this part listing book I got for the cobalt and it looks like the side peices, lol.
As far as the Sedan, I think the front lip would fit, not so sure on the back peice since its a different shaped bumper. I would go to your dealer to ask about that.
Even though this is what my dealer told me as far as parts, they could be wrong and realize once they start doing it that they might need something else or what they thought was wrong. They said they never done this before, not even on a damaged S/C yet. But they put the one S/C they had on their lot through their computer as if it was damaged and these are the parts that the computer told them would need replaced.
There is a guy on here that has these ground effects on his 2.4, maybe he can share

This is funny: ask your dealer what part 15773839 is. He will say the lower bumper lip. Then ask him what part 12336084 is. He will say the same thing. It is so f-ed up. Do some research before you buy. Trust me.
