2006 COBALT SS Accessories - What can I do?
Hey all,
I drive an '06 Cobalt SS (Not SC). I am wondering if I can put a hitch on it to pull a small trailer (for a lil boat or maybe a small tent trailer camper or something). Is this do-able or will it wreck something?
Also - can I put roof racks on my car? Is it best to go through GM or just buy some and do it yourself? Is it hard to install roofracks???
Thanks for your help!
Alicia

I even have the SS/SC lowered on sportlines and I bought a trailer hitch for it.
Pulls that little thing in my avatar like its not even back there. They make a plug and play kit for the wiring which I actually have for sale.
Youve got a 200lb tongue max weight and a 2,000 total towing weight. Easily could pull 2 jet skis or a small boat.

Just type trailer hitch into google and any of the first 5 links will have it. I bought the hitch for $120shipped or something like that. You also need the wiring kit which is plug and play. Ill sell you mine though for way cheaper. Oh I forgot I also have the hitch and ball combo for sale as well.

I thought GM says you can't tow anything with the manual transmission in these things? Maybe it's different for the 2.0 S/C, but for the 2.2 and 2.4 you're not supposed to tow anything.
