2008 Changes?

I was just wondering (yes I searched) what changes are going to be made for the 2008 SS/SC model year, specifically drivetrain? Are they even going to try to beef some of the drivetrain up so it's not breaking as much?

The reason I want to know is if I should just get a 2007 SS/SC, or wait it out for the 2008 model. Thanks.

axles would be nice. I would like to see them use the TVS supercharger that Eaton is curently developing. They claim 325hp on our engine with just a supercharger swap (progamming would have to be included, I imagine).

Internals are good. I was at the dealer the other day and saw the new GMPP catalog. They have two set of pistons in there for the Ecotec, one is high performance the other is full race. They also have a full race, balanced crank too! They also have some other stuff in there too. Starting to look more and more like project time!

About 20 feet away. Down stream the levy broke in three spots and three developments were flooded along with the golf course. I'm pretty lucky I had no damage at all!

I hope they come out with a 2.4 or the 2.0 turboed. I don't know about you guys, but I like the sound of turbos. And if GM put a moderate sized turbo, it wouldn't have too much lag....

considering their euro counterparts and the solstice used the 2.0 platform to turbo expect the same for our cars, cause the 2.4 gives someone a choice for a fun car for a good price

Mike what is in the milk you have been drinking????
My engine is still at JBP's and not finished. We are now in the process of having several parts newly fabricated for this specific build. Many of these items will interest others doing major work on their cars. Once the engine is done and the turbo system is finished, the whole thing will be swapped into Mev's Cobalt for testing and break in. Once everything is tuned and passes inspection then it will be shipped home (can you say Feb 15th, '07?) re-installed into my car and then Mev will fly out (with his new bride) and fine tune the engine.
Also Mike when did you chose to do pistons?

I know for a fact Stronger Axles are coming.

I doubt the turbo

And unless the new axles will fit both the tranny in the current sc's and the supposed six speeds then no new tranny either.

The axles will fit the previous years. Its actually a Preliminary Information article on GM's Service Information (I would get the document I.D. but I tossed the article) But they are replacing the axles on the tranny's in the 08' model year. These axles can are used as a fix to wheel hop which has caused transmission housings to crack.

And If I were you i'd wait and go with GM's.
