GM scraps the Cobalt... the company will die. The car is successful because it is attractive. People like it. I don't think they COULD come out with a better car for the same price.

Just my opinion.

It would also be rare to find one that wasn't modded and had the Recaros and was the first year production 05 too :p

People are reading too much into that article , you oughta see the dramatic controversy on other GM sites , lol .

While the Cobalt name is not going ANYWHERE anytime soon . It is VERY likely when the Saturn/Opel Astra ans the Cobalt are combined on the new Delta 2 chassis , it wont be built in Lordstown . It is very possible our Cobalts will be made in Mexico ( no joke ) when it goes to the new Delta 2 chassis . Some of the Astra production is already made in Mexico .

I will have an Ariel Atom 2 by then. I have my down payment ready. I'm going to Ashland next month to take a look at options since the website has no pics or any good discriptions. I've talked with a few people there, I'm trying to coordinate a dyno day this spring with a few Atoms. Right now it looks like all will come to fruition. They still list the LSJ on there site as being at 205hp. I think with that intake and exhaust they use it will be a bit higher, also, that 205hp rating they got from our car is whp, they have an MR set up which could mean a better transfer of power.

I think they should come out with the Chevy Thunder. Make it much like the old Syty ere. Some type of all-wheel drive SUV and pickup that will scorch the Ford Lightning. Hell yea!

The Cobalt name will probably go on... but with the Ion moving to a totally new design... we know the Cobalt will to.
