What kind of tune do you guys have hitting 8 plus rpm??

 

^ its called missing a shift yeah now after that the motor seems fine, but today i kinda hit a curb bent the steelie and split the tire so got 4 new tires all the way around only 365 bucks.

 

The 8000 RPM tune is easy to get ....... redline 3rd then drop it into 2nd 8) .

Seriously thou.... you need to do some valvetrain work to twist 8K....... there are some that are doing it ....mostly LSJ's.

 

I've got gm stg 3..So i can adjust my limit to 8k..but some people here were talking about 8.5 and up..I would have thought either
A: the trans wouldn't let you go into gear if it would be above the rev limit or
B: it would rev limit and buck the **** out of you as soon as it went into gear.

I didnt think it would let the engine rev past the set limit.

 

Gridnding is not the issue it a huge rpm hop
