92 octane?

a wawa gas station opened up near my school and its a good deal for gas.

i have a 2.4ss and usually run at least 89 but sometimes 91 or 93.

this gas station has 87 89 and 92...

is 92 just a mix between 91 and 93 right? it would be ok to use?

why wouldnt it?

all fuels are a "mix" technically. they dont make 92 by mixing 93 and 91, they just make 92

I always run 92, that's the highest we have here in Washington state. No 93 that I have ever seen.

never heard of 92... but anything above 91 in a 2.4 should be just fine.

89 octane is usually blended from 87 and 91, so 92 blended between 93 and 91 isn't any diff :p lol

i have 92 in mine right now umm anything above 91 is good. thus 92 being slightly better than 91 and 93 the same. but it really doesn't make that much of a difference once you're over 91. it just has a higher resistance to exploding under pressure. :P

The ECU in the car can only compensate for up to 93 octane... so going over that is really just a waste of money unless you can tune for it...

also... you'd better hope that 110 stuff isn't leaded... kiss your O2 sensors and fuel system goodbye if it is

Ran 93 while in Texas but up here in Iowa I ran 91 till I found 1 station with 92. My poor car just don't pop like it used to.
