Acura RSX

One of my sources tell me that the Acura RSX will be axed after MY07. Nothing is in the works about replacing it with anything.

Exclamation Honda acura wast of time!

just like the prelude a waste of time! lol j/k

Acura-Honda are always slaying good cars and never can make a better one up to par the prelude was a great car and they slayed that now the RSX next the s2000 my fav honda i dont get into imports that much but all the good ones die out just think the 3000gt 300zx rx7 supra silvia skyline and now even mistibishi (spelling) is gonna go bankrupt soon enough they barely sold any cars! this year they sold like 20 percent of the cars becasue no one likes them anymore the eclipse is ugly and there evo just plain out is ruined wit the warrenty issues, they have no money to fix you cars cheap bastards
the only impport still in it and goin strong is Nissan and subaru my bro has spec V and that thing a ruff monster. Well all this rambling and there is no point lol all i gotta say is amercan cars will be here to stay go CHEVY!

I agree that the imports are killing off good cars. The Integra was a great car but its life was too short. Same with the RSX. At least the Celica lasted for a long time before being replaced by the Scion tC.

Thumbs up

Keebler i meant they stopped production of these great cars. I know alot of peeps have silvia's and skylines! but there not 2005 models. and there trying to bring them back the new skyline looks like crap (350/G35 mix) with some decals WTF? there also making a new supra now it looks like a space ship WTF? and there trying to bring back a anniversary version of RX7 which if it dont look like the old one it will be crap also! WTF? the RX8 will soon flop if they dont put a twin turbo setup in it ASAP! i used to have a 240 with a silvia front end clip with a sr20det in it but the wiring harness was done and engine needed alot of work some one say ebay! i got 7500 for it i didnt care needed paint anyway! then i bought my cavy and threw a turbo in it now im selling that and getting Cobalt SS Cant wait

l8r all!

I'd make an argument for Toyota still going strong.

True, and also i'd throw Mitsubishi in there, they have some good sales with the Lancers, whther it be the OZ Edition, ES, or the EVO. Ands don't forget the fifty million eclipses you may see everyday lol.

well who knows what will happen, it won't be gone until MY08, which is a long time away. I wasn't too fond of the RSX, but to each their own. I think the cobalt will make a decent alternative.

the RSX reminds me of a gloified Cav Z28..... yes it is designed with soooooo much more performance than the Cav, but when it first came out that's all I saw.

It's overpriced only because because you're only factoring in straight-line performance. And it's only a fraction of a second slower than an Ion RL (from what I hear, never seen them head to head in person). So in turn, you're also saying the Cobalt SS/SC will be slow. An RSX-S will still give the Cobalt SS/SC a good run. I can only fairly compare the LS to the base RSX and I can attest to the fact that the build quality of the base RSX is superior to the Cobalt LS. The Cobalt felt way too (hard) plastic for my liking. If you look at your vents, they're part of the dash's mold. I'm thinking the same applies if you compare the RSX-S with the Cobalt SS/SC. Don't think I'm completely biased. When I first SAW (not touch) the Cobalt SS/SC, I was thinking to myself "Wow, the interior looks pretty awesome" but when I went in to see the LS in person, it felt really cheap. And that is why I think the price is justified.

I too hear that the RSX is going to be discontinued in 2006/07. The new Civic Si is supposed to take its place. That's the car I'm excited about. Personally, I don't care if the Cobalt over powers it. I have a feeling I'll like it.

But anyway, has anyone seen the 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse? I'm not feeling it but it got a real boost in power.

With only 180hp, apparently they're just as fast as an RSX-S. The Celica is a lot lighter but put a 250 lb driver in there and the weight ratio changes. It'd hurt the Celica more than if the same driver was in the RSX-S. The Celica handles pretty well too.

I remember the days when Mustangs had huge rebates, you couldnt touch that performance for the price..

Just a few months ago they were going for 19k, for a 260 hp low 14 sec car.. almost sounds like a better deal then the SRT 4..
