Adding acetone to gas

I can state from experience with 2 cycle racing motorcycles, that adding acetone to gas (2 oz per gallon) will remove water.... increase the ratio and you may have problems: any thing from melted plastic parts in the fuel system to detonation.

Acetone seems a little extreme to put in your car....
vicious stuff...

ive done quite a bit of reading about toluene though, not really a mpg thing, more to do with octane...that stuff is no joke.
I dont know that id ever put it in the tank of my little hopped up econemy car....
but if 1400hp F1 monsters have run 84% toluene mixes...im pretty sure its not a hoax

watch mythbusters, they did a whole episode on the myths of fuel economy and proved 90% of the to be false. @ Tornado, i remember all those info commericals

well said raine. acetone are for chicks if you are that hard up for somr gas milege and performance then how did you buy the car.
