AEM needs Cobalt for development!

Hi,

I am an R&D Engineer at AEM. We are looking for any style of Cobalt for product development. If you let us use your vehicle, you will recieve an AEM intake system for free. You must be able to transport your car to our headquarters in Los Angeles to be eligible. If you are interested, please contact Damon at DRiggs@aempower.com .

Thanks,

Hey, welcome to CobaltSS.net!
Are you looking for someone with the 2.0, 2.4L or the 2.0 supercharged? Anyways, best of luck with the development of the new product.

Welcome to the board! I have a few questions for you (surprise!):

What kind of incentives are given? Does the person get the intake out of it free, or at a discount? Will the intake be CARB approved? How long do you typically need the car for?

Thanks for taking the time to let us know here...and good luck with the product development.

all AEM released intakes are CARB approved, other wise they wont sell it. carb usually takes a while to get done 3-4 months, last i heard on aem intake for rl is 3-4 months more for release due to carb. so by the time its out look for other parts being available.

At AEM, with the cobalt ss, do you think you'll be making the new V2 as one of the intakes or just a CAI and a short ram? Thanks! Also i'd give you mine to do the work on but i live in kansas city so its not really in the neighborhood....sorry

It depends on what makes the most power. SRS and a CAS are most likely. A V2 system on a SC motor may or may not make more power than a traditional intake. The dyno will let us know which one to release!

Thanks,

Wait are you saying that a gov't review panel takes a long time to do something ??

What does the gov't do that doesn't take forever. Just the other day I got a letter from the IRS about a filing error from 2002. . .
