Air box mod

So i figured first thing id do is an air box mod like in the how to guides ive seen. I just have one question. Will i get a CEL with a dry flow filter? And if i do, will it be right away, or 6 months down the road or what> or just unplug battery wait 5 mins and replug to get rid of it when it happens? Thanks for the input. BTW i'm thinking of getting an AEM dry flow, if it makes any difference.

From what I have heard the AEM dry flow doesnt throw a CEL, actually come to think of it, the only ones I hear of throwing a CEL are over oiled filters.

Nah not yet sneaky, but its comming i did another update today, all the body work is done on the right side. Check out my post. I was just thinking about my first mod is all. planning for the future. I think i'll stuff it under the hood and not tell my gf. That way she won't harrass me about spending more money. ;-)

I'm running the airbox mod with a K&N Factory Oiled Air Filter. No CELs and I have had it on for about 2 weeks I think.

Random question... What does CEL stand for? All I know is that it means something is messed up with your engine or you Cobalt is on its period. lol

For some reason I have a CEL almost all the time with my intake. (AEM) But I haven't heard of many other people with the same problem, so you're probably good to go.
