Thumbs up For All You Cobalt Owners Without Foglights.

so i did this today and it took about 30min

If you take the lower middle grill out you will notice two nice evenly spaced holes towards the outer part of the grill on each side. Just pop the plastic tabs out and pop in some fog lights from advanced. They have some really nice really bright small ones for like 18$. They screw rite in with no modification, simply tighten the bolt and your done. It is the perfect spot for them if you want them behind the grill and they look damn good. The outer grills cant be put back on over fog lights, so that wont work.

As far as wiring goes, a diagram is included if you need it, but if you have done any 12V electrical work you should be fine, there beyond simple to hook up.

That looks nice...do you get good light output out off it? Do the fins block any light? I don't imagine that they would, but I'm wondering. I have the base model bumper so it may be more difficult to do this but I would like to.

Yea its a good mod, here's mine;

Looks pretty good at night and you cant see them in the day unless you are kneeling down looking for them.

Ofcourse its all wired nice into the low beams so i dont have to mess with any switches.

You dont need to have removable bumper pieces to do this. Or do you want to have them or another reason?

Never thought of that, i would FG the out side ones with some fogs integrated and then just make a FG trim for the middle one to be like a mouth like the SS has. Good idea.

i found some small headlights at a junkyard in good condition, how many amps can i safely run through the hazard light circuit? do you think the lights would over load it?
