another random averagewhiteboy question...
Alright. Here we go again. It was another boring day at the valet job.
I really don't care for my Cobalt front seats. They're the black/grey SS n/a ones. They have that annoying "too much material" problem and they always look wavy. lol. The lower back suppost is uncomfortable even when all the way down. And they're just kinda there. I could care less about the rears. lol.
Basically, is there any other seats that can be swapped into my car beides SS s/c seats, SS s/c Recaro's, or other crappy non-SS seats? Like I drove an RSX Type-S today and I absolutely love those seats. Those are sorta like aftermarket Racaros. Thay might actually be secretly made by Recaro becasue I know Honda did that wit ha few cars before (think CRX). They're the same as the '02+ Civic Si hatchback seats but in leather, which i'd surely take the Si's too.
I don't know. Anything I can do that wouldn't require too many Advils? Obviosuly I'd have to fabricate them to some Cobalt seat rails or something, but what seats would fit in the car width and weight wise?
Thanks in advance!!

I would imagine that pretty much any seat will fit in your car. Seats dont really vary too much in size until you start talking luxury cars, where they start getting pretty large in every dimension. I dont see why an RSX seat wouldnt fit into your car with some custom bracketry to make them mount to the car. If you can work with metal or know someone who can, then just find a set of seats you like and start hacking away at some steel bar

That's what I figured. But since it's a lease car, I'd keep the stockers to put back in if I don't just but it outright. Why lose over a grand in seats? lol.

Looking at your name, you've got an RSX. I could see how those would be crappy on long drives. That's why I was leaning more towards the Si ones. You kinda sink in them more. I've always loved the red stitching too. My interior is already black on grey, plus I want to have a few red accents around eventually. Those would look really hot. I plan on going to the Nopi Nationals in Atlanta this year and those stock seats aren't gonna cut it for that kinda drive. haha!!

I'll tell you what are really comfortable that I personally was comfortable in for a 6 hour drive, and thats thirdgen Camaro seats. I hear the 4th gen seats are just as comfortable and even more supportive. Might be something to look into if you know anyone that has either car
And yes, I can be nice. I just to turn into a dick when provoked by stupid comments

Actually...I was thinking that. I've always loved the style of the 2000 style Corvette seats too. However, I figured the seats would sit too low. So you'd probably have to raise them.
Like for my Accord. It was a '93 Accord EX coupe. I had a CRX Si seat laying around (older style Recaro buckets) and threw it in there to see if I could do it. Size wise it would've slid right in. But it was much lower than the Accord seats. I could've made it work...but then I sold the car.
