another salesman

wow, I cant believe some of these salesmen still have their jobs. I went in to another dealership and wandered around looking at cobalts and cavaliers. i wasnt pummled my a mob of sales though, only one layed back guy. but he didnt know **** about the cobalts. I like to play the "dumb customer", you know, make the salesman feel he knows everything. this way i can evaluate what he knows and how much bs he is telling. this guy was telling me the ss wont even be made till june/july. wtf is up with these people?! i liked how i wasnt pummled though. Also, some kid at my school bought the exact cobalt i test drove at the dealership, I'm so jelous. I feel like slaping the kid and steeling his car.

Angry dumb?

I would love to do a battle of cobalt knowledge with anyone that thinks that they know more than a educated chevy sales professional! Its not right to stereotype sales professionals just because a few j/o's dont know there a** from a hole in the ground! Question, if you know so much where did the engine and tranny come from on the cobalt ss? Dont say ion redline, because that is too easy!

Okay, here's Villains obligitory "SS not SS/SC" comment.

The SS/SC has already been built and should be arriving ad dealerships soon.

If you said SS, then the salesman may actually be right even though he/she probably doesn't know it.

Does anybody have any build dates on the SS Cobalts yet btw?

Thumbs up close!!

engine and tranny come from the 2.0t saab. (can you say boost capable!)Matter of fact they didnt even change the shifter. They emptied there parts bin and found a gtp supercharger as well! This makes the tunning capabilities endless!!! They allready have pullies for gtp's! Or if you want to go extreme, sell the kid with the 2.2 your stock supercharger, and drop a t/3t/4 turbo on that motor!! This is the motor that is built for max boost! (ie;sodium filled vavles!). Any other questions, I will be more than happy to answer.

No matter where you work there is always a person who is a dumb ass. I think we have some pretty knowledgable sales people on the site, but then again if they weren't knowledgable they probably wouldn't be on the site.

Cool ss-sssc

Villian, they were going to come out with a ss w/ 2.4L (non-supercharged)and distingish the two by calling the supercharged cobalt ss sc but GM is waiting on the hhr for the introduction of the 2.4 for chevrolet. The potiac soltics will also get the same motor as well. Roughly 174 ponies will go head to head nicely with the mid-level 4cyl (ie: mazda/focus 2.3) But I think they will put that into the lt model. That motor will also see duty in the malibu base model(replacing the 2.2L) to be more competitive with the honda/ toyota mid sized cars. Oh and last but not least there will be a hhr ss! Just thought I give everyone a taste of gm future as I know it.

yeah the sales was talking about the sssc all the salse i talked too have no idea about the 2.4 ecotec. I shopped around yesterday and looked at the 2.5 rs and the mazda 3. I'm not a big import fan, but the mazda 3 has alot more style than the cobalt. I just dont know what i want annymore! My family is a chevy family and i never have considered anything else, but now i'm opening up my eyes. but if i do get a cobalt, definitly the 2.4 ecotec.

Hey is the s/c the exact same one as in the GTP? I thought it was a smaller version, but if it is the same then awesome! I know a lot of parts out there for it already!
