Any impressions on the SC/NC?

Im trying to figure out my budget because Im thinking about financing the car soon but I still need to get a quote from my car insurance to see what the difference would be in payments from the SS/SC and the SS/NC. Basically if the payments are too much for me to go with the SS/SC I want to see what the general consensus on the NC cobalts were here. I know they still come with the sports suspension and come stock with about 170 hp which is quite a bit for just an all around daily car. Before I settle for the SS/NC I want to know what your opinions are here

-Thanks

Buying the non s/c is like buying a cell phone with 100 minutes a month
it works, its cool but its like what?On the otherhand you dont want to go broke on any materialistic item such as a car....do what meets your needs. I personally got the s/c...but i had the money to..... oh also how about a used s/c??

Yeah there would be a used one. But the SS/NA is still quite capable. With a little bit of modds, it runs with the SI, I mean that aint bad!! Go for it buddy, when finances changes, then go with something else. You'll like it anyways!!

Yes, if money is a big issue maybe you should look at used, or maybe a LS or LT. Pricewise, there isn't that big of a difference between the SC and NA cars (my SS/NA had a sticker of 19,385 which included the $590 destination charge; however I got a tremendous steal of a deal on it). There are guys on here who had SS/SC cars which stickered in that same general range too. No big difference.

I owned a 2.4 SS before I traded it in for a SS/SC. It's about $20 a month more for my insurance now.

I owned the 2.4 and you most definitly can squeek the tires. Auto transmission, with the traction control on, from a stop floor it. You'll get "squeek". Put it in "low" (traction control disabled) and you can "squeek" even more. Are you sure it wasn't a Honda you test drove?

I personally like my 2.4 quit a bit, gets plenty of power for me. and as far as 90% of people that see it are concerned i drive a supercharged car. I always set them straight if asked but i have been asked to pop the hood more than once so they can see the supercharger.

go for the 2.4
