Smile Any info on the pontiac solstice?

Although the Cobalt is my top choice for a new car, I was wondering if there is any info on the pontiac solstice. I heard that it was going to be under 20k. A roadster under 20 wow!! I've googled the car but I get a lot of the same info. Maybe I'm not spelling it right.

I have to agree, but do you really want to drive a tow seater?

The solstice is availble this summer at 19,950, the sky will debute a little after at 25K difference being that the Sky will come pretty much fully loaded with only a few options, while the Sol comes with a long list.

177HP, 166TQ, 2800 LBS. Not exactly fast, but it beats the competition which is what counts.

Personally Id rather wear the arrowhead than the planet...but thats just me.

I like them both, the solstice has nice smooth curvy lines and looks a little happier, while the Sky has sharper angles and a little more of an aggressive look. I'm happy they both exist, gives some diversity to the GM linups, i don't like rebadging, ahem...*pursuit*...ahem.

SMOOTH:

SHARP:

All hotness.

GM had a press release that the Soltice would be around 22 or 23 not their first projected price of 19, I'm not sure on the sky though.

You can place orders for the soltice at your pontiac dealers starting april 15, and production starts may.

Good luck

I'm really looking forward to the solstice. Trunk space is like 4x less than the competition though.

Thread on Interview about Solstice...including mp3 interview.

In the interview it mentions a hardtop version and a 0-60 in 5.4 secs. (Obviously must be a future GXP version, if it even happens)

The solstice MSRP is 19,995, but it can be optioned to 22-23K.
The 0-60 was a misquote I believe, they had another article on it which said it was "around 6ish". Which makes sence, but the GT version of the solstice has an 80 some odd HP increase.

Well they arn't going to get rid of any division, but I think they will only last for a couple years, maybe more if they sell well. So far I would see it 05-08 or 06-09.
