anyone put in a new audio set up in the a cobalt?
I bought a Rockford punch component 6 1/2" for the doors and kenwood 6x9" 350 watt max. and a 360 watt 4 channel alpine Amp to power all four speakers.
Going to buy Alpine - 12" Dual-Voice-Coil 4-Ohm Subwoofer SWR-1242D
handles 1500W peak, 500W continuous power; KEVLAR-reinforced cone; dual Nomex spiders.
And a Rockford 1500W peak, 500W continuous power Amp.
and I also have a sony deck.

haha, yeah man, i fully redid the system, alpine deck, one with tilt face, and 512 different colors, alpine type r 6.5 components in the front, 6.5 coaxials in the back, 2 type r 12's, jl 500x1 and a JL e4300 and an audiobahn 1 farad cap. I also added an xm reciever, and i have an interface comming for my ipod so i can use that too. Crystal clear mids and highs, and no distortion in the bass, its louder than hell. With a bigger cap, like a 5 farad, it would be even louder, and the next audio piece that is going in is another 500x1, so each sub has one. Im going to have to rewire the car again though, thankfully our battery is in the trunk, because feeding 0-2 gauge wire through the car would not be fun........ let me know how it turns out, i will get some pics of my set up
