Auto Shift Boot Attachment

Does anyone have the factory automatic shift boot? If so, is there any way someone can get me a shot of how this thing attaches to the shift plate? Is there a plastic retainer underneath like the manual one? Is it removable or part of the boot?

The reason I ask is I had a shift boot custom made for me, based on the design of the factory auto shift boot, but I need a way to retain it, like the factory did it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know where you can get a factory one but they make aftermarket ones at Redling Goods.

Right, I already have an aftermarket one (redline covers the shift indicators, something I do not like), just need to reference the factory '08+ ones.

Nope, never got around to it, haha. Maybe I'll do it this winter/spring before my car comes out of hibernation, if I get a day that isn't awful cold.
