I don't have either but one of the little gripes ive heard about the hurst is that the knob gets hot as hell in the sun, lol.

I don't want a cold (in the winter) and hot (in the summer) metal shift knob, I like the fact that it will accept the factory leather knob and it will look stock...

Im thinking going with the B&M even tho the Hurst looks great, i heard the B&M shifts are smoother than the Hurst. And i also wanna put the stock knob back on.

I got the B&M, I think its great. Only gripe with it is, if its cold outside that shifter stays like an ice cube for a while. Other than that though it knocked almost 2 tenths off my 1/4 mile time.

Okay talk to owners of both. They are both awesome. They both have the same pros (shorter shifts, better looks, etc) as well as cons (cold in the cold, hot in the hot weather, etc). It just basically comes down to price (usually really close but occasionally you will see one or the other on sale) or personal preference (ie I prefer Hurst because I like the round knob instead of the B&M irregularly shaped knob).

Neither is any 'better' than the other. /thread

I think all the complaints about one or the other come from installation. I didnt like my hurst, till i re-installed it, and now i love it. Whichever you pick, make sure its in there good.

IMO B&M shifts smoother, but Hurst has a better looking knob.

We carry both in stock, we can get you either one for a discounted price of $149.99 PM us...

I'm looking for a shifter for my 2.4SS, but I don't have the reverse lockout. Is there a Hurst shifter without that, or can I modify it to delete?

the stock shifting feels very... loosey goosey, does either one of there tighten it up at all? So its more of a positive shift???

me and my buddy both have the B&M, and we both broke a set of shift linkages with some hard shifting...the stock shifter shaft hits the square hole when you shift gears, the B&M shortens the throw so its possible to shift too hard and not have that sort-of mechanical stop, which slams the linkage in too far. I've read posts on here of others that have done the same...
