bad ignition control module.. 2.2 supercharged guys ?

I believe I have a bad ignition control module.... currently I start up the car and it runs idles fine but as soon as it gets throttle input it drops ignition like one of the coils doesn't fire. I have cassette style not individual cop, so with that said I only have 2 coils. I have spare ignition control modules and coil packs, so I will try swapping both of those if this doesn't remedy the problem then I will buy new plugs and new coil boots.

Anyone else have any ideas?

head gasket is brand new so it's not like the thermostat opens and the car misfires, it does it when it's warm and throttle input is involved, or voltage changes...

i had a similar problem last summer. i had the ICM changed out and that did not help the problem. so i took apart the fuse box to expose the circuit board and female pin connectors and found that the connector for the crank/run relay was stretched out like a *****. so we tightened that up and then resoldered the connections running to the battery post. it was like a thin piece of metal thats connection was shoddy at best.

if the new ICM doesnt help id take a look at the rest of the system. my car wouldnt crank at all and if it did crank it would just shut off when the car was idling or during a light takeoff.

mines a differen't situation, the car idles and will start up just fine, but I will keep that in mind. There hasn't been any wiring changes or fuse block modifications. All wire taps for power for my gauges come directly from the battery.

I have low mileage on the set that is currently in the car, less than 15k and if I had a bad plug I feel it would happen all the time even on start up. also highly unlikely for 2 spark plugs to go bad at the same time. I know I have 2 cylindars that are dropping of like a coil is bad or ICM....
