Basic Cobalt Question

Hey guys,

So, I'm rotating the tires on my girls LS tomorrow and a question hit me:

How do you properly remove the stock 5 spoke hubcaps?

Some are snap on, some are bolt on, etc. Don't want to break anything..

Thanks!

they just pull off. but when u put them back on make sure the little groove for the valve stem is in the right spot.
just lightly hit around the edges of the hub cap to snap it back on.
have fun

Ok, that's what I was hoping for. Sounds good. Don't need to do anything with the fake lug nuts or anything? haha

The plastic lugs are screw on. Make sure you at least tighten those back up when you're done, otherwise you might start hurling hubcaps off your car.

You will have to loosen the fake gray lug nut covers. Some may need you to use a wrench to loosen them, however when tightening try to take the socket in your hand and just hand tighten them as tight as possible, maybe tighten a 1/4 - 1/2 turn after they get tight so they dont back off. DO NOT USE IMPACT GUN to tighten them if you decide to use that since they will shatter, had a tire place do it to mine. You could use the lug nut tool too, but if you do use a socket on them they are 19mm. If you dont tighten them enough, they will squeek when you drive.
