Thread starter was not bashing vendor just giving warning which is understandable after not recieveing a product for a month and a half.

Keep in mind that internet based e-mail accounts are commonly blocked with Spam blocking software. I tried contacting Eaton using my hotmail account, and they never responded. I sent another message using my parents *** email account and they responded within 24 hrs.

still, if he disputed it with paypal, Cobalt Addicition should have gotten an email instantly from them stating the dispute, this would show all pertinent info needed...

donna, didnt you get that from paypal?

After reading more of the tred need to say. I had no intension of bashing vendor, just warning fellow cobalt oweners, but I have talked with them on the phone couple of times and by e-mail even sent pictures. They should know who I am by now. They did get invoice, they sent me a copy in the 1st e-mail I sent when I said (concerned about order).after 2 weeks with nothing or reply from them just from Pay Pal they had all day and still know reply I don't understand After she PM Me this morning. even has my phone #

to clarify so that you all know and because i dont think people know that yes i work for Cobalt Addiction but not at the shop and many people are under the impression that i RUN cobalt addiction because of my presense on the board. thats a misconception. Right now i am sitting behind my desk at my full time job at an environmental company. Kenny runs cobalt addiction, the accounting and shipment, the orders etc. I answer PMs and questions on SS.net only, not emails. I also do not handle the phone calls. That is all done at the shop.
I am here to try and help him on top of also balancing 2 jobs since i was an active member of this forum well before we opened cobalt addiction and got to know many members. I offered my help, to make another outlet for the forum members to get contact on orders but please note that i try my best to answer what i can but when it comes to orders i must research and look into things....and i am doing this out of the pure love for this community as i do not receive any compensation from it. i do this soley to help.
Slacker,
I could not get the info back to you in a PM yesterday because i did not get a chance to talk to kenny directly until 10 oclock at night when i got home from working my 2 jobs.

when i got in this morning, i PMed you right back as soon as i got in.

So again, just to clarify, i am here to help and more then willing to try my best to do what i can to get your questions answered. Out of the numerous vendors on the site, maybe 2 others are willing to do that.... I am sure that kenny would be more vocal on here as well if he had the time but he doesnt which is why i offered to do this for him.

i understand where you all are coming from with your customer service concerns....I own a cobalt myself. I order parts myself. I have been through all the same stuff which is why I empathize with any sort of complaint and is why i offer to try and rectify the problems.
Thanks :-)

this seems sooo easy, just send the guy his stuff...companies seem to forget that one person that is unhappy is worse that 100 happy campers!

All this email and pm crap is infuriating!

It is pretty obvious, send his stuff and send it expedited and eat the extra shipping cost and you come out smelling like a rose! and ck your pm's would like to know something...

i hate to say it but I agree. When you run a company there are three rules to live by. Ignorance is no excuse , The customer is always right, Make no excuses just get it done.

If you are working 2 jobs I would say I don't feel sorry for you. That was your decision to take on more responsibility than you can handle. I don't mean to come off like a jerk but it seems that your beau ( Kenny ) is being lazy or just out right ignoring the customers complaints. Also leaving his girlfriend to fight his battles for HIS COMPANIES tarnished reputation is absurd. He should of already have been on here and cleared this up. When I have trouble with a vendor they next day air ship my stuff to ensure that I receive it. I would suggest a 10% discount on his item w/ next day air shipping. If Kenny is unwilling to go out of his way to take care of the customer yet he expects the customer to go out of his way to get his item then he needs to give up his business for a more suitable owner. I hate to be harsh but I work for a major company and deal with marketers, vendors, warehouses on a daily basis and this seems ridiculous.

I think his thread was very reasonable. I would do the same if I didnt receive a product for whatever reason. Paying for something and not receiving it for that long is uncool. Im sure bashing the company was not his intention. Flame me away thought, it seems like im meant for it.

^ will check at 10 am with kenny when he gets into work re: wing which i am almost positive is out of stock. I believe the other part is in stock but ill double check for you.

also, as explained in a PM to slacker, the strut bar we sell was undergoing revamp in design. when i checked with kenny last night regarding this i was told the customer was informed by email 2 times about this delay.
this is the xtc bar not the dc sport which was in stock. he didnt specify in the post until i got the PM

i was only trying to clarify to this board because everyone is saying i own the company and run it.
not asking for symphathy or sorrow from ss members. i think you are misconceiving what i wrote.

also im not saying this was unreasonable, but a PM would have been nice so that i could have helped rather then a board post.

thats all.

good business people work it out and it seems that you guys surely fit into that catergory, yeah sometimes we all get hasty for a quick solution and it only turns around and bites us in the arsssss. Instead of being patient and following the right paths to a solution.

unfortunately it's impossible to run a business where you deal directly with customers without having issues, every email they don't open could be hundreds of dollars if not thousands of dollars lost.

unfortunately i think a large amount of the problem is people general lack of patience or laziness in resolve. people much rather complain and rip into a vendor or retailer then call them up and solve the problem.

There are plenty of solutions to email security. Opening an email doesn't get you a virus, opening an unknown attachment does. Proper precautions and a good anti virus will keep you safe.

I'm not trying to sound like a dick or **** anyone off but if you can't handle the demand then hire some help. Customer service should be the number one priority when running a business. 1 upset person tells 5 people. and those 5 people tell 5 more people and before you know it you have a bad reputation.

"Please keep that in mind. We are a legitimate business run by 2 people. We also run 2 other very large sites and have provided thousands if not hundreds of thousands of quality parts to our customers. We also have 3 show vehicles, show and advertise at local events and out of state, so we are not a shady company who hides from the public eye. We are more then willing to meet customers, talk to them when time allows."

Wonderful!! but thats not a good enough excuse to make people wait and wait for a reply. If you want to be around next year then make your customers happy.

good luck and best wishes
