Bought ss/tc feb 2019

Bought a silver 09 ss/tc in Feb of 2019, had 120,000 miles, mostly stock except for aluminum flywheel. Its g85 coded. Compression is good, turbo doesn't smoke. I knew it had shifting problems so budgeted for new trans and front lower valance that was missing. Oil also smelled like gas. Turned out to be busted bolt on shift bracket on trans and a bad cable. Fixed those, put zzp short shift mod, and new high pressure fuel pump that was leaking onto the crankcase. A new serpentine belt and drove it some, then did Powell yyz's, new struts, upper strut mounts, shocks, and rack spacers. More driving then did Powell front cab bushings. Tires were new, continental mud and snow, horrible in the rain, so Michelin pilot sport A/S 3+ from Costco. Brakes had plenty of life but after they practically didn't do anything on the highway one cold wet day I put slotted rotors with new pads all around. Now that it stops again, more driving. Ordered Powell oil separator, and rear bushings, cleaned valves and did separator, also did side plate gasket and sensor o ring while it was apart, added upgraded intake boot too, it took me a while to find time to do the rear bushings but got them done along with parking brake cables, one was smashed and rusted. Drove it all summer till clutch started slipping early November. So with 130,000 and a very loose feeling trans, I felt things moving around thru the shifter, i decided to get a new budget build from b3designs, luk metal flywheel, new master, line and elbow, the trans comes with new lnf slave and pipe, stock lnf clutch and DOT 4. Took it all apart, Clutch Masters flywheel had four busted screws that hold metal friction plate to the aluminum, one was tearing up the disk. Put all that in with a rear main seal, the tighter 23 mm anti roll bar bushings from zzp that got rid of the little thumping over bumps, seals in rear calipers, whole brake fluid system flush and just did 100 mile test run. It was all worth it. Going to drive it another 130,000. Best handling car I've owned.

Looks like you have made a lot of good decisions on your parts. Hopefully you can drive it now and enjoy it.
