My dealer called me today and asked me if I was interested in the Recaro seats and LSD package because he was told my order will be pulled next week...he wanted to see if I wanted to make any last second changes to my car...I told him no to the Recaro's cause I didnt want to lose the rally yellow inserts in the seats and doors...But I did tell him I was interested in just the LSD by itself...he called me back after checking on it and said I could get just the LSD without the Recaro's and the price would be $280...I made him repeat the price...$280...I asked him if he was sure on that price because I thought it was a good $1000 or more for the seats and LSD together in that performence package that everybody on here talks about...so in other words those Recaro seats are $700+ and the LSD which is the more important part of the two in the package is under $300...has anyone else heard of this(buying the LSD as a stand alone)???

 

If thats the case I'm going to do the same thing I dont want the seats but want the LSD. Hopefully someone will know.

I haven't heard of this, and I ordered in October 2004. I would be highly suspicious of your dealer, until it is ordered and he faxes you the order detail from the GM system. This option (which I was closed out of since my car was pulled 2/16) has never been advertised as anything other than a package deal.

 

My order was pulled yesterday. The Sales Manager said he thinks the car will show up sometime in early April.

I'm not that worried about my dealer...I preordered way back in october and my salesmen is a good friend of my cousin...the dealership is one of the biggest around Pittsburgh...so It's not like theyre out in the sticks somewhere and dont know anything...I'll keep you guys updated.

 

If you ordered in october your car should have been pulled by now.

Dealers don't know jack about this car and what you can get on it. GM knows even less. Read a fraction of the posts on this site - everyone is frustrated as hell with no information, delays, no one has their car yet, etc. etc. etc.

Your totally right on that...the dealers dont know jack about this car...Chevy has totally dropped the ball on the SS/SC with it's lack of info and the fall...late fall and finally early 05 delays on it...I have to say this though...my salesmen which is a high school buddy of my cousin and is in his early 20's is pretty excited about this car too...he said he might be in the market for one later this year himself...he's been going the extra mile the last week or so and making calls and getting info...it cant hurt that I got him for my salesmen and not some dumb redneck that knows squat about the SS/SC and shouldnt even be selling cars!

I don't know what LSD is but I think you guys are talking about the G85 performance package with the recaros... HERES the SCOOP... The package come with Limited slip, recaros, and YOU are required to get the Ebony Inserts.

I ordered in October and mine has not been pulled yet. There are several of us out here still waiting.

Not saying it's not true but if it is true and you can get the LSD added for 280 bux thats a sweet deal.

 

Definitely wating to hear iif this is true, I ordered back in Oct. as well and my order hasn't been pulled yet......If I can get the LSD for 280 I'm all over that!!!!

Can you get one aftermarket sure. Can you get it from the factory install on a 2.2 Eco? Not at this time.

Floyd, keep us all as up to date as possible on this. Almost everyone on this site was really disappointed about losing the seat inserts to get the LSD.
