Build date was Oct 18, 2008. Not sure where on the car you can find it at, or if its on there. But i like havin my GM parts catalog handy lol Want to know anything else let me know

your build date is on your doorjam i believe. should say built MM-YY. mines 02-05

 

right but where do i find the number of my balt? ie... 1st of 63

 

Your build number or production sequence is the last 6 of the vin.

unless youre gonna try to be one of those guys who boasts "ive got one of 2 red cobalts with a nick in the drivers door and the smokers package and a high rise with an automatic and this color interior and a moonroof." you cant even get those numbers at gm without going through piles of paperwork and data. real production numbers are difficult to get let alone which order they came out in. have you tried calling gm? i called mercury about the vin and door numbers on my 65 comet to find out the original color and what options it came with. they were very helpful. build date is probably your best bet. meet someone with the same model and same year yours was built a month earlier than his, yours is closer to being #1

Anyone else with a 2008 SS/TC have a earlier build date?

It says your car is one of two with the exact same options. Unless I am reading it wrong

 

Don't believe that stat. It's can't be right. Some people have had it say they were the only one. It's BS

 

Depending how many options are available for the car the combination's could be tens of thousands so its not out of the list of possibilities

 

When i was doing all those build date threads I remember finding some pre-production cars that were built around the end of Feb. beginning of march 08 . Yours was one of the earlier full production car's i remember doing ..... I don't know why I remember these things ...weird I know .
