i just asked the lady who orders cars and know when exactly our cars will be built and the place where she finds this stuff out it says at least 4 weeks till they might start produceing them

 

If you mean a lady at a dealership, they are kept in the dark on stuff like that. I used to work at the dealership I am buying my car from, and my friend is the salesman there selling me the car. The two pre-ordered cars they have just got approved by GM. But no one can give him a specific date. He says they keep saying "end of this month to next month"

If banshee1016 works at teh plant and can see them being produced, I am inclinded to beleive him.

Anyone else driven a coupe yet? We have to at the dealership I go to. The base coupe is soooooo bare. No power anything!!!!!! It is a yellow one. was a nice drive for sure though, had the 5-speed too. The only option was A/C

I drive I-76 every day which is near the plant, and see the trailers with Cobalts. I can't wait for the day that I see a couple of SS's on there. When I do, this site will be the first to know!

Turbostang, I'm up here in "jolly" ol'Edmonton. I went through Edmonton motors for my car, but the guys there are, well, lets say uninformed. As far as i have been told, the order is in and on the way when mine actually gets built. Tomorrow I am going to be calling GM to see if there is any more info. available on my car.
I can't believe that your agent had the nerve to let you order a car and say that you may never get it. What is up with that? The more I read up on the SS S/C, the more it is driving me not having it here already. When it does come, I'll be so excited that I might just have to live in it for a week or two. Ya know, get my money's worth!

 

I know what you mean! I can't beleive some people have been waiting months....it would have killed me by now! The fact I have to wait till mid-late March is gunna make me mental! I just pray that my salesman got my interior changed to blue.

 

Hey banshee... You wouldn't happen to know if any LS Coupes with the sport package.. 5pd... Have been made or if they are sitting out on the lot..... I haven't heard from my dealer, and I'm going crazy... And all this talk about the SS being built.. I am wondering what's going on!!!..

My dealer told me my LS with sport package/5 speed is being built within a week. So they must be. Pester your dealer to call or something.

Have many LT sedans been built yet? I know there aren't any around here :P Mainly base sedans, with some LS sedans mixed in.

 

I think the LT sedans are slated to be made later this summer.

 

the dealership i work at has 3 lt sedans IN STOCK , black, silver , and white (very nice in white)
