On chevy.com, for the 2007 SS/SC it doesn't give the option to add LSD (g85) package, but the 2006 does. I want to walk in the dealer with all the correct information. So are they making the cars std with LSD now? The one i built online came to 21,605 the only other option that i want besides LSD is the 6 disc in dash cd changer.

Also i was looking at the option for Engine block heater (K05), it doesn't come up as an option for the SS/SC (07 or 06). Is it possible to get this option as well or is it only available with the 2.2 and 2.4 motors?

 

I heard on a few threads that the recaro seats weren't an option anymore, and I know that is a part of g85...but thats just something I heard.

I believe the engine heater is an option for all the cars, and the 6 disc changer...my car has it but I can't remember if it was standard or an option...do you want me to get my window sticker and take a pic of it, or type the info on it for you?

 

no block heater for 06's and yes the recaros where discontinued partway through 07

edit:I just checked there is an option for limited slip but no recaros

The block heater was not an option where I live, but I complained that a 30G (CDN) car in Canada without a block heater was ridonkulous, and the dealer installed it gratis.

on the gm canada site lsd is an option for $1535

 

If you go to a site like http://www.carsdirect.com, that has a list of all the options. It even specifies that the G85 option was discontinued for ordering as of Aug 28, 2006.

I think Edmunds web site might be a good place to see all the options also.

 

on the chevy site i do see when it prices it out for the 07 its handling say performance handling....so maybe thats lsd???

 

Thats so stupid! My car was build in Canada - at least the VIN says it was, and it has the kPa boost gauge - and mine didn't have a block heater...I thought that was weird.

I'm gonna take a pic of my window sticker...not sure if it'll help anyone, but maybe.
