Good to know that. I took mine in to get it fixed about a month ago, and they said that GM wasn't fixing them because they didn't have a fix at that time. I guess I better call the dealer and inform them of this.

It's about time.. my dealer told me they were gonna make the thing larger to overlap the fabric which GM obviously cut too short.. They temporaily fixed mine.. they tucked it back in..

I've replaced my passenger door twice and the second one didn't even cover when they put it on. I just didn't say anything, because I got tired of taking into the shop.

Now does this fix the problem of the silver paint coming off as well?

And the self-destructable sunroof accompanied by self-detatchable sunroof-trim-button?

Thanks for the news on the door trim

The sunroof bezel problem is documented in document 1708789 which bascially states replace the bezel.

Also noticed today that document 1719187 for low speed clunk in steering system has been updated. A guy I work with that has had his SS/SC for about 13k miles now has been complaining about this for a while. The document used to instruct the dealer only to note the milage of the vechicle and the conditions during which the clunk would occur. The document now recommends replacement of the steering intermediate shaft (part number 10394225 for a cobalt or part number 10392744 for an Ion).

Yea, I had a knock or clunk when i would make turns at slow speeds and the dealer ordered a steering column kit and replaced it and no clunk anymore. By the way my car had 6,000 miles on it when i did the repair back in september

The trim problem is an easy fix that you can do yourself, but now I will agree that the sunroof breaks easy too. My car was in the shop for 2 weeks because the sunroof broke and wouldnt shut all the way.

I just had all the door stuff done about a month ago . They didnt replace the passengerside bezel though , so I didnt get the larger bezel . They did give a brand new door panel though . The fabric isnt pulling away at all on this one . I also got a brand new bezel on the driver side for paint coming off so easy , and also got a brand new driver door panel because of a gap at the top seam . New stuff seems to be better and problem free so far , I had probems with the original bezel paint , fabric and gap within the first month of having my car . Sure is nice to get all new door panels at 13K miles , I had some scuff marks on the old ones

Are these documents like a recall, shouldn't we be notified by the dealer?

recalls are for safety problems.... tsb's help identify common problems and notify the dealers of new fixes.

The door panel fabric came off on mine during the first month and my dealer sent both panels to a shop to get both panels re upholstered and that is a permanent fix lol.

I thought it was only me, but now i see that i am not the only one with the low speed clunk, and the silver coming off the switch trim, but i knew about the panel peeling prob. Nice to know that GM is aware and advising dealers what to do. Should make it easier to deal with some of them, less hassle.
