I got a buddy with an 06' ss/sc, I also have the same car, he claims the car has a downsized pulley but has no idea what it is, also claims it pulls 15psi and has no idea if the car has injectors, it does have the k&n CAI and corsa 2.5" catback. He recently had it tuned by this guy from Kentucky with hp tuners. He now claims that he sees 260 whp so I'm asking you fellas what you think, is his setup capable of these numbers?

 

260 on 15psi could be possible with more mods. But just a cai cbe and tune I don't think will do it. But I've seen some crazy tunes

 

See there's the thing. He said his tune is more mild than aggressive since the cars his daily driver, I believe just a 6* advance in timing, I was told the afr and fuel trims were not adjusted at all.

 

PSI does not determine power level on a blower car....

If he has a smaller pulley, good tune, full exhaust, etc. 260 whp is do able.

But no way he is making 260 whp with 6 degrees advance. I dont think he knows what he is talking about.

 

Pics of said set-up or he's full of ****. Make sure he takes pics of the pulley and injectors. Wonder if james tuned his car?

 

I think you're correct. I'm just really tired of hearing the **** talk and wanted to try and gather some knowledge to disprove what he's saying.

 

The name James sounds right. I can't remember for sure though. Tuner came up to greenwood, IN and the kid I know met him there. I've seen the set up in person also.

That's what I've told the kid. Has no cooling mods and I confirmed for him that his IC pump is toast.

Check the color of the injectors for him. i doubt anyone just pullies down with no injectors but if james could only rake 6* of timing out of it i'd worry he's on stockers. lol
