C.a.r.b. Sticker Location

Okay well back in 2009 I got stuck at a DUI checkpoint on my way home from work in Perris, California. Well the cop made me pop my hood due to the fact I had blue l.e.d.'s on my projector headlights and he gave me a ticket for illegal intake. I had to get my car inspected by a state ref. and get my ticket signed off. Well I just sold my stock intake so now i dont have a backup incase that ever happened again so I contacted Injen and requested a carb sticker because it is available for my particular intake system.

So my question is, does the sticker go on the actually intake, somewhere under the hood. Or does it even matter?

Don't put it on the intake. I had mine there and it fell off. I would say put it on the car itself. Make sure to clean with alcohol or something like it first or it will fall off.

you cannot be cited for state specific violations if you are from out of state.

It was illegal, injen did not have an oe carb # available at the time it first came out but I guess it's cleared for California emissions now.

When I got my GMS1 installed, they put it on the forward left underside of the hood.

bc its a mod that could affect emissions. the idea of a cold air intake is to get more and colder air which will result in more fuel in most situations which could mean more emissions coming out the tail pipe. likely not to make much of a diff but cali is emissions *****
