I think it would look rather dumb. Unless you are going to be doing some serious tracking of the car it's a total waste.

Why do you want a cage? that is the first question, if it is just for looks then its a waste of everything that goes into it.

Safety? are you going to wear a helmet all the time when you drive? you could end up worse off with a cage in the car then just leaving it alone.

i dont see how adding a cage could be any less safe. how did you decide this or did you just want to be a smartass and say something completly pointless?

I had it done for me and it is all welded in, no bolts. The painting I did myself. Once everything is done I will need to touch up the paint on the cage. Those seats were are real pain getting in.

can people still sit in the back you think? did you buy the brackets for the seats? cause ive been thinking about getting some new seats so that they can support 4 points, (again for safety)

With the cross support bar behind the seats there is no way to get into the back seat. I needed the cross bar for the 5 point harness tabs. If you are not going with the cross bar, rear seat access will be fine. The brackets for my seats were way to much work and I wouldn't do that again. I believe Carboeu (sp) sells brackets for our cars and cost and time wise would be worth it.

See that little picture I have for an avtar, as well as my signature? We are building for 750hp and my cage meets the NHRA specs that allow for a time of 10 seconds or higher. When I see how fast we run I will let you know

It's going to be a lot of fun. I am thinking of keeping a supply of Depends on hand for the passengers, just in case they pee themselves with glee or **** themselves from fear.

Now maybe its just me but shouldnt the roll cage go to the front of the car and not end at the doors like it does? Every cage I've seen has been like that.

And Diablo unless your going to be doing 10 sec. passes a roll cage would be nothing but a waste of time and money and some damn good metal.

I checked into AWD and the $20,000+ price tag made me decide not to bother with it.

I could have cut into the dash but this is still my DD. To take the bar farther forward would have made getting in and out even harder than it is and the option of going in and out through the window, up here in the rainforest, doesn't work.
As for having a cage if you are under 11.49 at NHRA tracks, you need a cage.
