i want to race a SI so bad. i really want to see what my car will do to it. i raced the older ones with the 160hp 111 torque and killed it. i just kept my car in 5th gear once i got far enought ahead and hes car was modded and had a CF hood.

After reading all four pages of comments, it makes me want to grab another beer, get as drunk as I can, and see if I can prove to myself that I can keep up with a Z06 Vette. I don't see how you can deny every single comment. It really is sad, but I hope they're happy. If it were closer, I'd want to go to cheer on for the Si's side, then laugh at them when they get dominated.

Truth be told, if they have so much power under the hood from stock, I don't see why they'd be trying to kill a Cobalt. While I do love my SS, I know it's not the fastest thing in the world, nor will it ever be. Sometimes it just seems that logic is beyind the scope of some people. That or they're trying to cover for the poor (for lack of a better word) investment that they have made.

No, there is no need to get all angry at such things. It happens all the time. I am able to go to sleep at night knowing that in twenty years while they're still running 9's in their '06 Si Civic, I'll be enjoying my new car that'll have just as much power. Stock.

 

Well I ran a Si once and I was WOT and by the time I got out of 3rd going into 4th the Mighty Civic gave up because I was pulling away....

 

i gotta set up a race with a kid i know. Here is the car. I will film it too. Its actually DT322SS. He got sick of all the cobalt ss/sc probs and got this. Its a nice ride and we will race just to see what is faster.

I like the new Si. Hey its alot better than the DX/LX/EX's that are out there. Now THOSE are slow as ****! The Si may have a better interior, handling, and power that its siblings. But it still doesnt make any torque... I dont get it.

when someone makes the no gas claim... i always go with "ill tell u what, ill give u 10 bucks for gas and then if i win, i get to put "owned by a chevy" on ur back window :-)
