Just cut the radiator hose a ways from the end of the inlet where the hose goes to the head. Install the adapter between the two pieces of hose and screw the sending unit into the fitting on the hose adapter. What else do you need to know?
dont need to drain or worry about air bubbles? do i have to do it fast kuz it will leak or what. and where is the part of the hose i need to cut, i look under the hood and theres about 50 hopses
Ya, you will probably leak a bunch. You might be better off draining the system before doing it. BUt I guess you could try to do it without and see how much gets out.
Anyways, its the main upper hose, it will probably be the biggest hose in the bay. What engine you have? i'll try and find a pic and point an arrow to it.

Ok, the arrow points to the hose. You want to put this as close to the head as possible to get the most accurate reading...

Also I just searched Google images for cobalt 2.2 engine so I hope thats the right motor, LOL. I've never seen a 2.2 so....I hope thats it.
