Can someone recommend me a new clutch?

Soooo.. when I stomp the gas, the RPM's jump then fall again, I'll asume my clutch is on its last legs?

Whats a good clutch for a 2.4 that wont break the bank? I want to order online, but shipping is just completely @#$$#^%#@!

any good canadian companies? or should I just go OEM from a dealer?

and whats a reasonable price for a clutch install?

Look at the KY clutches on TTR's site. They are a lot less expensive than many other brands and hold up well. Most people install them themselves because install usually runs close to a grand.

GMPP clutch from Crate Engine Depot. No question best bang for the buck clutch out there. Unless you are making big power it will take anything you can throw at it. I installed mine myself a couple months ago. It really wasn't bad at all to do. A friend of mine got his installed by a shop before I did mine and they charged him $600 labor.

We were doing updates...

Dont do the exedy stage 1, that is the same as a stock clutch.

Get the KY Clutch. If you have problems on our site, please send us a Priviate Message (PM) and we will get it worked up for you.

If the car is stock I'd just replace it with a stock GM clutch and TOB. Unless you beat on your car then in that case get something with more clamping power...

Well theres an Excedy OEM clutch on ebay and the guys got a sale right now I can get the whole kit for $250 shipped.

I'll P.M TTR though as I'd like to support a vendor on here, just I need to spend a lot of money on other crap right now and this was really not something I wanted to buy now -_-

oh and the RPM's jump a thousand or so... but it only does it periodically at the moment

If the rpms jump and then come back down then it's probably just starting to go out and will last for awhile longer. So if you'd rather wait a little bit before you get it replaced you should be fine as long as you don't beat on it. I still say you should look at KY clutches because they hold much better than OEM and aren't all that much more expensive

Exactly and also you are going to spend the SAME amount to put in an "OEM" replacement as a performance one. This is over half the cost of the clutch job. Do it once and do it right.
